The company handles clothing mail order and has dramatically improved sorting capacity per batch by combining the Linisort S-E and the Shutter Assort System. Before the implementation, operations were conducted using the island picking method, where picking and shipping were done in units of 12 people (12 orders). However, there were limitations in picking in units of 12 and waiting times during transitions. After the implementation, it became possible to pick orders for 240 people as a single unit, which is 20 times more than before. The abolition of the island picking method reduced waiting times, and the number of shipping transitions was also significantly decreased.

By utilizing double sorting, the sorting volume per batch has increased to 20 times before delivery! Dramatically improving work efficiency.

This is an introduction to the case where our "LiniSort S-E," "QuickSort," and "Shutter Assort System" were implemented at the Fukui Center of Hamakyorex Co., Ltd. At this center, which handles apparel mail order, picking and shipping were previously done using an island picking method with 12 people as one unit, but there were waiting times during the switching process. After the implementation, it became possible to pick orders for 240 people as one unit, significantly reducing waiting times and also greatly decreasing the number of switching occurrences for shipping. We would like to introduce a case where the "Pocket Sorter" was implemented at ZOZO Inc.'s ZOZOBASE Tsukuba 3. At the existing facility, many items were stored and picked in multiple locations, and sorting was done with two pieces of equipment. This required personnel for inter-process transportation, and the capacity limitations of the sorting machines made it difficult to improve picking efficiency. After the implementation, we achieved our goal of reducing labor through the reduction of manual inter-process transportation and standardization of operations due to the simple operation. This also led to a reduction in the physical burden on workers by minimizing the transportation of heavy items and reducing bending motions.
